We’re less than two weeks into the new year and things couldn’t be off to a better start. Here at Moxy we’ve decided our resolution for 2012 is to find a way to make this site better than ever—to bring you content more tailored to helping you accomplish your goals, and to do that in more effective ways.
We’ll check back in over the year as we add new features and updates to the site, but today you see the first of those updates live. Where we used to categorize our articles by type—top 10, profiles, how to—we’ve gone through all the Moxy archives and reorganized them by subject to help you find more of the content you want, when you want it. Many of the new categories even have subcategories, so things are more neatly organized and more clearly labeled.
The new “main” categories are now listed on the menu bar above (see illustration) and hovering over a category with your mouse will bring up all the subcategories within it.
Our new Profession category brings you the latest on Climbing the Ladder, being an Entrepreneur, the what’s what on all things Office Appropriate and tips and tricks from all walks of life on Breaking In to an industry.
The Education category is where you’ll find tips on Post-Grad Life and on Continuing your Education—whether that means grad school or on your own.
The Good Life focus on the other half of the work-life balance, including Nutrition & Health, your Habitat, Entertaining and Relationships.
Money includes tips and tricks on Investing, Debt Management and general info on handling your Finances.
For those of you who love to travel, Wanderlust is your new home away from home, with Travel Tips and snap shots from some awesome Destinations.
Finally, What’s Happening? brings you the latest from the Popular Culture scene, all things Now Trending, our popular News & Views column and a new In Other News section that will be chock full of things you never knew you never knew.
Several new article types are also in the works. For example, starting this week (and twice a month from here out) we’ll be bringing you a wrap up of news from around the nation with links out to places to learn more, where we’ll welcome discussion on recent events in the comments. During the weeks in between we’ll bring you interesting facts and findings from the world of science (did you know you’ll drink more from a short, wide cup than from a tall, narrow one? Neither did we.)
